Screenshots of New features: as well as the original City Assault mission and new cutscenes, the biggest new features include
Opening cutscene shows the General talking to Nomad, where the General will then ask what time of day you would prefer to play (as seen in previous screenshots), and how many marines you would like on your team. Onscreen prompts will allow for you to make your decision, which will then affect the rest of the game.
In the same area that the General spoke to you, there is also a couple of walls filled with guns, for you to test. There are a number of targets set up, and if you press the button, you will have 30 seconds in which to shoot as many targets as possible

Summary:
The City Assault map is a well made map which provides a refreshing change to the usual jungle/island type of scene. It is interesting and new, and provides a very different gameplay experience to most custom levels.
In-Depth:
The level started off with a cutscene, like most levels. The cutscene was of a helicopter being flown to the US base within the city. The cutscene was hastily done though due to time restraints, but I didn't judge the whole level by the first cutscene. Once the cutscene was completed, I started off at a US base and I had to choose my weapons. There was a plethora of custom weapons to choose from, which made a nice change from all the default Crysis weapons. Once I'd chosen my weapons, I had to go off into the city to find some US Marines and help them out. Once I'd found them, I proceeded to fight with some Korean forces. The Koreans fought perfectly, and I had a tough fight with them. After firing at them and killing a few, my M16 had ran out of ammo. I took out my MP5 and proceeded to move closer to the enemy's position, taking cover behind whatever was closest to me. But a Korean had thrown a smoke grenade near my position, blinding me. They opened fire upon me and I was forced to fall back to a more secure position. I waited until the smoke had cleared, then opened fire upon them and threw a few grenades, killing all of them. After that, my next objective was to infiltrate the Korean base and download some data, so I proceeded to advance through the city, killing any Koreans I came across until I eventually reached the Korean base. I decided to go to some higher ground and evaluate the base, note enemy positions etc. I climbed the scaffolding of a nearby building and to my pleasant suprise, found a sniper rifle up on the roof. I picked up the sniper rifle and looked down at the Korean base, I switched to strength mode to steady my aim, looked down the scope and fired at the Koreans. The Koreans reacted quickly, firing up at me with their guns and even firing a rocket at me. I quickly used up all my sniper ammo, and jumped back down the scaffolding. I had a tough fight with the Korean forces, using up all my ammo and was soon forced to pick up weapons from dead enemies. I ran into the base and downloaded the data, and then proceeded to kill all of the Koreans while waiting for extraction via VTOL. When the VTOL arrived, it landed on top of a building, so I climbed up the fire escape and entered it which brought an end to the mission.

Conclusion:
The City Assault map is something that you cannot miss. It provides a nice change to the usual environments, is fun to play and has many different paths. I give this an overall rating of 9.25 out of 10 as this mod shows off Rad15's Advanced AI to perfection, it is enjoyable, and has a good replay value. But there is still room for improvement such as the starting cutscene needs to be improved, and an ending cutscene needs to be added, as well as various weapons tweaks.
Skipping over the rather flawed cut-scene, I must say the City Assault has blown my mind out! From the start the choice of weapons was great although flawed as well. The player can choose from 3 custom pistols and 2 custom semi-automatic rifles. The weapons are very well made and work perfectly.
Progressing into the battle, the tactics have completely changed in the battlefield, thanks to Rad15's awesome AI. Its hard to describe the feeling that the new AI brings, but it definitely no longer feels static in anyway. Here's a list of what I noticed (I probably missed heaps):
I had about 10+ dead NK bodies piled up on the steps plus another 10 on top of the roof...
) All that was left was a SCAR...
The other marines will hunt down the enemy, pretty much equally matched but in the end, the NK was too good and I was lucky to escape from the central blockade... (sadly, the marines fell one by one...)
) The decals are placed very well, the alley ways and streets actually look dirty, like they've been used by humans. I might suggest however, to use Shadez's graffiti decals in the next release, they would suit it perfectly
. The props and miscellaneous objects on the streets and parks create a sense of city, there are cones and signs, benches and water fountains, everything you would expect. It really feels like you are playing in a real city.
Forgot to mention: I was playing on normal. I've played on hard before, but that resulted in 200 deaths in God-Mode...
Well sorry to cut this short, but I really have to get back to studying...
Cons:
I've played for a hour and haven't finished it yet, but already, I've realised that this, by itself will be like a mini-expansion to the game, a must get! If you don't get City Assault, you really don't know what you are missing... It has thousands more explosions that Crysis, probably better than Warhead as well! The gameplay is not what you will expect, it will BLOW YOUR MIND OUT. You have no idea what Crysis is capable of until you play this...
